NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Mill Creek is seeking
volunteers to serve on the Planning Commission.
Three terms are expiring on April 30, 2022. The terms are for three years and will run
from May 1, 2022, to April 30. 2025. Members of the public, including current
Planning Commissioners whose terms are expiring, may apply to serve on the
Commission. Residency in the City is not
a requirement to serve on the Planning Commission. Meetings are currently held via Zoom on the
third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.; however, future meetings may be held
in person at Mill Creek City Hall.
Duties and Responsibilities:

The Planning
Commission shall have all of the powers and perform each and all of the duties
specified by Chapter 35A.63 RCW, together with any other duties or authority
that may hereafter be conferred upon it by the laws of the state of Washington.

The Planning
Commission shall prepare a comprehensive plan for anticipating and influencing
the orderly and coordinated development of land and building uses of the City
of Mill Creek and its environs.

The Planning
Commission shall conduct public hearings on all proposed regulations concerning
the use of land in the City of Mill Creek or amendments to existing regulations
and shall make recommendations for appropriate action on such proposed land use
regulation to the City Council.
