The Mill Creek City Council will recognize the 2022 Great Garden Award recipients at their upcoming Council Meeting on Tuesday, September 13, during a presentation beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The Art & Beautification (A&B) Board, chaired by Mill Creek resident Carmen Fisher, tours Mill Creek gardens each year and nominates residents who have put considerable time, effort, and creativity into beautifying their property.
“People love living in Mill Creek because of the incredible quality of life, which is something that takes the whole community to build,” said Fisher. “Excellent landscaping is a wonderful contribution - it’s not only attractive but great for mental health and the environment. We’re proud to recognize some of the many residents who put in extra effort to make our neighborhoods beautiful.”
The A&B Board met on July 13 to review the nominations and select ten recipients. Once confirmed, board members eagerly delivered award letters and temporary yard signs to each home. In addition, the A&B Board chose a new permanent award design for 2022, which they will present to recipients in place of the temporary signs.
