MILL CREEK, Wash. – The City has approved their 2024 State Legislative Agenda during the Council’s
October 10th meeting. The Legislative Committee consists of Mayor Pro Tem Vignal and
Councilmember(s) Duque and Allison. With the assistance of staff, the Legislative Committee proved to be successful during their first year of re-establishment when the group was formed late 2022, just in time for the 2023 legislative session. In that short time, the Committee met with County Chair Jared Mead, State Senator John Lovick, and State Representatives April Berg and Brandy Donaghy. Through these efforts, the City amassed over 1.5 million in state funding and built a strong coalition of support for our needs through it all.
As a method of relaying critical information to the public on the important work the Legislative Committee is doing, the City has created a dedicated legislative webpage on our
website at
millcreekwa.gov/legislative. This is where community members can find the most up-to-date updates related to our legislative work.
