Suspect Apprehended After Attempting to Elude Mill Creek Officers.
MILL CREEK, WA. – On Wednesday, February 19, at 2:26 p.m., Mill Creek Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple offenses. Upon signaling the vehicle's driver to stop, the vehicle accelerated westbound to elude the officer. As the vehicle accelerated westbound on 132nd ST SE, the driver struck two vehicles, which were damaged, but no injuries were sustained. The suspect continued to elude officers, turning right to northbound I-5. At Exit 195 (Marine View Drive), the driver exited I-5, turning right onto E. Grand, where the vehicle crashed into a yard. The suspect fled on foot, and the Mill Creek K-9 unit was deployed.
After an extensive search involving multiple law enforcement agencies, the suspect was located by MCPD police dog Hondo and taken into custody without incident. The suspect, a 46-year-old Tacoma man, was subsequently booked into the Snohomish County Jail for felony and misdemeanor offenses.
