The Farm Open House

Open House Slated for Feb. 20 for Proposed Development Called “The Farm”

An image of the proposed site location for The Farm projectThe developer for a proposed project call “The Farm at Mill Creek” will hold an open house for the community on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 5-7 p.m. at the Mill Creek Senior Center, 4111 133rd St. SE. The proposed project site is located west of The Vintage at Mill Creek at 3830 and 4008 132nd St. SE in Mill Creek.

The open house will come the day after the City Council receives its first presentation on the project. At a special Mill Creek City Council meeting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19, staff will present a summary of the process associated with considering a development within EGUV, including the relevant codes, regulations and policies, as well as how the developer will mitigate community impacts.

Also during the Feb. 19 meeting, the developer for The Farm will present his vision for the development and benefits to Mill Creek. No action will be taken during this study session. Public comment is allowed during the audience communication portion of the City Council meetings (at the start and end of the regular meeting).

The presentation was originally slated to take place at the regular Council meeting on Feb. 12, which was canceled due to inclement weather. Pending final negotiation with of the development agreement between City staff and the Developer, the Council is expected to have a second study session to review the proposed development agreement at its Feb. 26 meeting. A public hearing also will be scheduled (date not yet determined) in the future prior to consideration of any proposed development agreement within the EGUV area.
