City of Mill Creek Identifies Michael Ciaravino as Finalist for City Manager

An image saying City Manager Finalist IdentifiedAt its April 2 meeting, the Mill Creek City Council identified Michael G. Ciaravino as finalist for the City Manager role. The Council voted unanimously to have City Attorney Scott Missall negotiate an employment agreement with Ciaravino for consideration at the City Council’s April 9 meeting.

Ciaravino served as the City Manager of the City of Newburgh, N.Y., from 2014-2018. He previously served the City of Maple Heights, Ohio, in various capacities from 1991-2007, including: Chief Executive Officer and Mayor (2003-07); Safety Director (2003-07); and Lead Counsel (1991-2003). He also served the City of Maple Heights in 2003 as Director of Administrative Services on an interim basis. Ciaravino practiced local government law from 1991-2014. Ciaravino holds a juris doctorate degree from Case Western Reserve School of Law in Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from John Carroll University in Ohio.

The City Council also extended the contract of Robert Stowe through April 24 to continue serving in the interim role until arrangements have been finalized with Ciaravino and to provide for some transition time.
