City Seeks Volunteers to Fill Art and Beautification Board Vacancies

Generic News ImageThe City of Mill Creek is seeking volunteers with a background or interest in landscaping or art to fill three vacancies on the Arts and Beautification Board. The terms of both positions lasts three years, expiring on Oct. 31, 2021.

The Art and Beautification Board is an advisory board that focuses on matters of designing landscaping, acquiring artwork and proposing projects for all City owned property. Board members utilize the Municipal Art Fund to enhance the aesthetics and beauty within common and business areas of the City.

“I have had the honor and privilege of being a part of this board for over two years now,” said Art and Beautification Board Member Paula Dickman. “We are recruiting new members to join the board to help make a difference in our community. You will have insights into how Mill Creek government works and what is important to our neighborhoods in order to make the decisions and recommendations that shape Mill Creek. It is an impactful way to participate and give back to our community.”

Board members should have an interest or professional experience in landscaping or art, and must be residents or own/operate a business in the City. Art and Beautification Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall South, 15728 Main St.
