An image stating community engagementAs part of National Volunteer Week, five Mill Creek community organizations will host an event on Wednesday, April 18, for the public to learn about volunteerism and involvement with local service organizations. The event will take place at Arena Sports, 13500 Bothell Everett Hwy, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Mill Creek clubs of the Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions, the Mill Creek Business Association and the City of Mill Creek will provide information about opportunities for community engagement. In addition, there is opportunity to network with local organization members and learn more about upcoming projects.

“Mill Creek community members are very active and engaged,” said Erica Erdozain, Mill Creek Rotary member who helped spearhead the event. “This is a great way for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn about what these organizations are doing in our community, meet other community volunteers, and develop new partnerships.”

Food and beverages will be provided by the Mill Creek Rotary and the Mill Creek Business Association. Raffle prizes will be given away throughout the evening.

National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognize and thank volunteers who lend their time, talent, voice and support to causes they care about in their community.
