Memorial Day Online Ceremony and Reverse Parade
Posted on 05/12/2020

With Memorial Day fast approaching in the backdrop of the prohibition on public gatherings through May 31, the City of Mill Creek has chosen to produce a pre-recorded commemorative ceremony.

The ceremony will be streamed on social media along with a reverse parade to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

The commemorative ceremony will air on the City’s Facebook page at 9 a.m., May 25, 2020. The pre-recorded ceremony originates at the Mill Creek Veterans Monument, 15429 Bothell-Everett Hwy. Due to the social distancing mandate from Gov. Jay Inslee, no in-person participation will be allowed this year.

Following the ceremony, a reverse parade will take place at Main Street and 153rd St. SE. The display of military memorabilia will be available for public viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will feature a variety of military items. The public is invited to drive by and view the display while remaining in their vehicles. Additional information will be provided as the date draws near.
