Mill Creek is a unique and special place to live and work. A vibrant, safe and friendly community, Mill Creek also is a great destination for shopping and gathering. The City of Mill Creek strives to provide opportunities for people to come together, experience exciting activities and entertainment, and learn about and enjoy all the amenities that the community offers.

Community sponsorships are available to help present free community-building opportunities for all ages that enhance the quality of life in Mill Creek and South Snohomish County. These sponsorships are designed to help organizations maximize promotional opportunities while enabling the City to budget more effectively by knowing the sponsorship resources it can count on throughout the year.

By providing sponsorship opportunities across the full spectrum of activities offered and supported by the City of Mill Creek, you can raise awareness for your organization with more than 30,000 people, including residents and those living in nearby communities who attend these events.

Sponsored Activities
Planned activities funded through sponsorships and in-kind donations and services include:
  • Youth Sports Activities at Mill Creek Sports Park: Opened in 2004, the sports park serves 3,825 youth annually and is home to many teams for soccer, baseball and softball. It is rented by youth sports organizations for 2,661 hours over the course of 330 days per year, including use for several regional and state tournaments each year. In addition, the community uses it when not occupied by rental groups. Average use: 20,000 people per year.
  • Flashlight Egg Hunt: This is a fun and engaging event for local teens featuring massive amounts of candy, sponsor prizes, swag and much more. Average attendance: 200 people.
  • Eggstravaganza: Local families love to come together for this exceptional event featuring 15,000+ candy-filled eggs spread out during multiple egg hunts. The event includes face painting, balloon animals, music, fire truck tours, sponsor booths and even a special visit from the Easter Bunny. This event happens rain of shine! Average attendance: 3,000 people.
  • Memorial Day Weekend Commemoration Ceremony and Parade: These events bring people together from the surrounding areas to honor those who lost their lives in service to our country. The commemoration ceremony attracts an average of 50 people, and the parade attracts about 5,000 people.
  • Summer Art Walks: The City of Mill Creek Art & Beautification Board partners with Mill Creek Town Center to host the annual summer Art Walks. These free events are tons of fun for the whole family, and encourage the community to support local artists and businesses.
  • Run of the Mill: This 5K fundraising run has been a Mill Creek favorite for more than 30 years.
  • 3-on-3 Main Street Madness Basketball Tournament: A great event to kick-off Summer in Mill Creek, this tournament runs the same day as the Mill Creek Festival and draws a huge spectator audience during the event. On average, this event attracts 200 players and more than 1,000 spectators.
  • Summer Children’s Concert Series: The summer concert series takes place on four Wednesdays in July and August. These concerts/ performances feature music, fun and laughs for children of all ages. Average attendance: 300+.
  • National Night Out: This is a community partnership with law enforcement to raise awareness about crime in our neighborhoods. National Night Out is a community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
  • Trunk-or-Treat: This event features a parking lot full of cars, whose trunks are decorated along with their owners and filled with tons of candy. Children go from car to car “trunk or treating.” This event provides a safe environment for children and their families who wish to trick or treat. A great community event for families with children 12 years old. Average attendance: 3,000 people.
  • Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony and Parade: These events bring people together from the surrounding areas to honor those who have served our country in the armed services. The commemoration ceremony attracts an average of 50 people, and the parade attracts about 5,000 people.
  • Holiday Tree Lighting: The community comes together for this annual holiday event at City Hall. A few highlights from the event include performances by Jackson High School Drum line, carolers, complimentary carriage rides through Town Center and a visit from Santa and his elves. Average attendance: 2,000 people.
  • Youth Advisory Board: Youth Advisory Board (YAB) members attend local middle schools and high schools in the community and are selected to represent and strengthen relations between their peers, school, and community. Members create new programs and activities, organize special activities, and plan service projects to give back to their communities. Averages 35 members per year.
  • Youth Basketball League: This is a recreational league for boys and girls kindergarten through 9th grade. Youth have an opportunity to participate in an instructional/recreational basketball program that teaches teamwork, technique, and enhances their physical and mental development. The program utilizes 11 local community school gymnasiums for weekly practices and games. The program is the largest recreational basketball league in the Everett School District and provides local high school and college students with part-time employment through refereeing. Average participation by 750+ athletes and 2,000 parents and spectators.
