How to Apply
Application Process
Each open recruitment for most non-police positions has its own application packet that typically includes a job announcement, the City’s standard application form, job description, and any applicable required supplements. Options for obtaining application materials are listed below:
  • Visit our Job Opportunities webpage to obtain application materials for a specific job announcement.
  • Pick up materials at Mill Creek City Hall, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note there may be some positions for which application materials are not available in person. Mill Creek City Hall is located at:
    15728 Main St.
    Mill Creek, WA 98012

Application Requirements
Most positions require completion of an application packet, unless otherwise noted. Resumes will be accepted only if they are attached to a completed application packet for a stated job posting, or if the job posting requires a resume.

It is recommended that applicants carefully read the application requirements for the specific position in which they are interested; incomplete applications will be disqualified. The City only accepts applications for open positions; therefore, unsolicited applications and/or resumes will not be considered or retained.

Submitting a Completed Application Packet
Instructions for submitting a completed application packet will be provided in each job posting.

Review & Selection Process
Completed applications submitted by the closing deadline for an active recruitment will be reviewed as soon as possible. Application packets are reviewed based on pre-established, job-related criteria. Applicants selected to proceed to the next step will be contacted by telephone and asked to participate in an interview and/or testing process.

For most recruitment, candidates who are not successful will not receive any notification. Check the Job Opportunities webpage for updates regarding the status of current recruitment's with application periods that recently closed or those that are open until filled. We ask that you be patient while we go through the recruitment process. Please keep in mind that calling the City will not expedite the status of your application.
