The City's preschool program provides hands-on activities for your child to explore math, science, art, reading, and writing readiness, music, dramatic play, and large motor activities. Children learn independence, creativity, positive self-image, and social skills through play and exploration. Classes are led by experienced and educated teachers, Ms. Tanya and Ms. Monica.
Children must be potty trained and be the specific age before the start of class.

Inclement Weather Policy: To ensure the safety of our class participants and staff, the Preschool programs will close if the Everett School District closes due to inclement weather. If the school district is delayed, the 9 a.m. Preschool Pals program will be canceled. Contact 425-582-6003 for updated information. If class is canceled due to inclement weather, there will NOT be a make-up day scheduled.
Preschool Pals: 3-4 Years Old
Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The primary focus is on learning through play and developing social skills such as how to express themselves, negotiate, problem solve and follow a routine in a group.
Pre-Kindergarten Prep: 4-5 Years Old
Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pre-K is for children who are entering kindergarten in the fall of 2020. This class focuses on preparing children for kindergarten through hands-on learning and exploring. In addition classes focus on large and small group learning, transitioning smoothly and interacting successfully.
Optional Wednesday
This is an optional stand-alone or add-on day on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please bring water with a snack each day.

Tanya Jaegel - Preschool Pals Lead
Tanya has taken many early childhood education classes as well as ongoing training through Everett School District's Early Learning Connections. She has been working with kids for as long as she can remember. She's a proud mom of 3. This is her fourth year at Preschool Pals and she absolutely loves being here. She is excited for the opportunity to work with your children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and the beach.
Monica Rucker - Preschool Pals Assistant
Monica has her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an early childhood endorsement from Portland State University. After teaching kindergarten for several years she is beginning her 17th year here at Mill Creek Preschool Pals. She enjoys home projects, boating and her time with family and friends. Monica is excited and looking forward to a fun-filled session.
