Licenses |

If you are operating or conducting a business within the City of Mill Creek,
you are required to obtain a license pursuant to Mill Creek Municipal Code
Section 5.04.060. This is an annual requirement. This applies to any home
occupations and commercial businesses with the City of Mill
Creek. (Please note that Business Licenses are non-transferable)
Home occupations are also required to obtain a home occupation permit.
This is a one-time fee and one-time application process.
You also need to obtain a license if you are doing any business within the City
of Mill Creek even though your business is located outside the City
limits.
Pursuant to Mill Creek Municipal Code Chapter 5.08, if you intend to peddle
your services within the city limits, you need to obtain a peddler's permit.
This is also an annual requirement.
Also pursuant to Mill Creek Municipal Code Chapter 5.08, if you are a
non-profit organization and you intend to solicit within the city limits, you need to obtain a solicitor's permit.

The fees for business licenses, home occupations and permits are as follows:
Business Licenses
New businesses located inside the City pay a one-time review fee of $25
plus the regular annual fee.

Home Occupation Permits
(One-time fee)
$50.00 - No outside employees
$100.00 - One outside employee
(Please note that home occupations are only allowed up to one
additional employee that does not live at the dwelling unit)
Peddler's Permits
(Annual fee)
$15.00 per peddler
Solicitor's Permits
If non-profit status can be proven, solicitors permits are exempt from permit
fees.
