Catch Basin Stenciling

It is illegal to dump anything other than rain water down storm drains.  One way to educate the community is to stencil storm drains.  The message “DUMP NO WASTE- DRAINS TO STREAM” is painted next to a storm drain.  This message will remind neighbors that anything spilled or dumped into the underground stormwater system flows directly into local streams and eventually into Puget Sound.

To volunteer to stencil storm drains call Marci Chew at (425) 921-5709.

You will need to sign a volunteer waiver and to pick up supplies.

Pick up Trash

This is a great activity for families, scouts, community groups and students.  The City will supply trash pickers and trash bags to those that want to volunteer to pick up trash along City maintained roads and trails.  For more information on picking up trash please call Marci Chew or Jennifer Gordon at (425) 745-1891.  You will need to sign a volunteer waiver and to pick up supplies.
