Fire and Emergency Medical Services

In December of 2006, the City of Mill Creek entered into an Interlocal Agreement with Snohomish County Fire District No. 7 to provide Fire and Emergency Medical Services to our City.

Fire District No. 7 covers 52 square miles.  The District has 108 employees (including volunteer personnel) and 7 fire stations.

The three closest fire stations are:

  • Station 76 at 1020 - 153rd Street SE (downtown Mill Creek)

  • Station 72 at 3431 - 180th Street SE (Fernwood)

  • Station 77 at 6610 Snohomish Cascade Drive SE (Gold Creek)

Station Staffing:

Station 76 – three full-time personnel, 24-hours/day plus one resident firefighter.  A minimum of one of the personnel is a paramedic, and the remainder are all EMTs.

Station 72 - a minimum of three full-time personnel, 24-hours/day plus four resident firefighters.  Usually one of the personnel is a paramedic and the remainder are all EMTs.

Station 77 - three full-time personnel, 24-hours/day plus one resident firefighter.  All personnel are EMTs.

Fire District No. 7 has 82 EMTs and 21 paramedics.

In addition to these stations, Fire District No. 7 has "automatic aid" with all of the surrounding fire districts.  Automatic aid provides for the closest available unit to respond regardless of the fire district.

The Fire Department focuses on public education in an effort to prevent fires and injuries by providing CPR/first aid classes.  In addition, Fire District No. 7 provides the following programs:.

Smoke Alarm Program:
Working smoke alarms save lives- and they can save yours!  If your home does not have a working smoke alarm, Fire District 7 can install a free smoke alarm for you and provide you with fire safety information.

Blood Pressure Checks:
Fire District 7 offers free blood pressure checks when firefighters are in quarters at the following locations: at Station 71, Station 72, Station 74, Station 76 and Station 77. If you are having a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 instead of coming to the fire station. Our firefighters may be out on another emergency call.
