Grinding and Paving Work Begins Next Week in Wildflower and Mill Park Village Neighborhoods

To improve the roads in the Mill Park Village and Wildflower neighborhoods, grinding work is tentatively scheduled to take place Aug. 17 -18. Paving work is tentatively scheduled to take place Aug. 24-25. This work is weather dependent. Due to contractor scheduling and availability, the timeline for this project has been accelerated.

By Tuesday, Aug. 15, Wildflower and Mill Park Village residents must remove or trim back trees, plants, and brush that encroach on the roadway so that the grinding and paving machines can overlay the roadway up to the edge of the curb and gutter.

The City’s Public Works Department will walk the neighborhoods in afternoon on Aug. 14 and 15 to identify issues that still need to be addressed. Maintenance crews will remove any plants, trees, brush, or other items that overhang the roadway on Aug. 16.

Cars must be moved for the duration of the grinding and paving work. Any cars parked on the road during grinding and paving work may be towed at the owner’s expense.

There will be an informational meeting about this project at Nickel Creek Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15. For more information, contact the City at
