Make Some Noise with Pianos on Main

The City of Mill Creek’s newest art installation, Pianos on Main, invites people to play their hearts out on three pianos while visiting Mill Creek Town Center.

“It’s rare that people have the opportunity to get hands-on with art,” said Mill Creek Recreation and Tourism Manager Brian Davern. “This is an exciting way people can engage with public art and have fun while doing it.”

The pianos were donated by residents of Mill Creek and were refurbished with the help of Henry M. Jackson High School students. The pianos will be installed on Saturday, July 8, and will remain on the street through the final Art Walk on Thursday, Aug. 10.

People are invited to make music and enjoy the artistic talents of others. The piano locations include:

  • 15163 and 15217 Main St on the sidewalk underneath the covered bridge
  • 15418 Main Street at the bus stop across from Cold Stone Creamery
  • 15605 Main Street at the Central Market outside eating area plaza

“Be sure to take photos of the fun and tag #CityofMillCreek on Instagram,” said Davern.
